The Base Shield provides a simple way to connect with Arduino boards, without the need for breadboards and jumper wires. With the 16 on-board Grove Connectors, you can easily connect with any available !
There are 16 on-board Grove connectors including; 4 x Analog, 7 x Digital, 1 x UART, and 4 x I2C. Apart from the Grove connectors, the board also features an RST button, green power status LED, ICSP pin, a toggle switch, and four rows of pinouts.
Every Grove connector has four wires, one of which is the VCC. However, not every micro-controller main board needs a supply voltage of 5V, some boards only need 3.3V. The inclusion of a power toggle switch means that you can select the suitable voltage of the micro-controller mainboard you are using via this switch.
